Club Policy

Dispute Policy

If a parent has a dispute over a coaching decision, they must wait 24 hours before speaking to the coach.  At no time is a parent/guardian/family member allowed to approach a coach at a tournament or during a practice to disagree about any coaching decision.

Policy Order:

  1. The athlete should first speak to the coach about the matter.
  2. If the matter remains unresolved, then the parent must schedule a meeting where the player, parent, and coach are present.  The player MUST be present for any meetings to occur.  The Director(s) can and will attend the meeting of the coach if needed.
  3. If the problem remains unresolved, or if the parent has a reasonable concern that speaking with the coach will not resolve the matter, then the parent may speak to the Director(s) and request a meeting with the coach and Director(s) together. At no point will other players be discussed.

If a parent doesn’t follow this procedure at a convenient time, the coach has instructions to sit the player for the rest of the tournament/practice.

Even though the club director has a final say on all disputes, the team coach will be supported with all playing time decisions. Here at Katy Elite our service is to develop players by training them in all aspect of the game during practice time.  Coaches have the final say and decision on playing time during a tournament.  They will make sure that a player understands how to improve and earn more playing time.

Payment Schedule:  All payments must be paid on or before the due date unless arrangements are made with the Club Director.  Late fees will apply if payment is not paid by the due date, and in the case of non-payment of fees, Katy Elite has a policy of sending overdue accounts to collections.  Check and credit card rejections/stopped payments are subject to a $35 administrative fee.  The player will be suspended from the program until the account is paid in full.  Please make arrangements with the Katy Elite Director for a fee payment schedule to prevent the account from being sent to collection agencies.

Make all checks payable to Katy Elite Volleyball and write the player’s full name in the memo section to clearly identify the player receiving the credit.

Refund Policy: Participants and their parents must carefully read all registration materials prior to enrolling in any club program.  Questions about the fees, schedules, requirements, refund policies, and all program information must be addressed prior to enrollment.

Due to costs incurred by the participant’s registration (uniforms, tournament registration, coaches fees, court rents, etc..), NO REFUNDS will be issued for the $600 deposit.  Once a program/tryout has begun, registrants are required to pay all remaining club fees.  If a player quits the program before the end of the season, parents are required to pay for their child’s share of expenses for the entire season.  A player who is dismissed from the program will not receive a refund under any circumstances.

 

Tryouts: Payment for tryouts are non-refundable regardless of reason.  You may reschedule a make up tryout if you cannot attend the regular tryout date within 7 days written notice before the start of tryouts. The tryout fees that you are paying go towards the training that your daughter receives during tryouts.

Camps/Clinics Policy

Cancellations/Refunds: 
To cancel a registration, please send an email to jose@katyelitevolleyball.com.  All cancellation and refund requests must be received within 7 days prior to the start of camp and must be presented in writing (by mail, fax, or e-mail).  For cancellations occurring 7 days or more before the first day of the clinic/camp you are registered for, we will refund your paid fees minus a $35 administrative fee.  Refund requests will not be honored once the 7-day deadline has passed.  The balance of the camp fee, less the $25 administrative fee, will be refunded only if:
– The participant does not attend due to illness or injury.  A letter from a physician must accompany the refund request.
No refunds will be made if the participant does not attend the clinic/camp program (whether in partial days or full duration of the clinic/camp) or leaves early for any other reason, even if the slot is filled by another participant.  For any questions about our refund policy, please send an email to jose@katyelitevolleyball.com

Returned Checks: Returned check fee $25.00, plus applicable camp fees and any late fees.

Change of Camp Sessions:  Camp sessions may be changed (or exchanged) for free until 7 days before the start of your camp.  Camp sessions may NOT be traded with another individual and must remain in the name of the registrant.  Campers must follow the cancellation / refund policy.
